Dean was accused by a former employer of being so honest that he'd never be able to stay in business. He only does the work that needs to be done. He takes great pride in the fact that he operates his transmission repair shops in Spanish Fork and Pleasant Grove this way. In fact, he feels that is the only way to do business. Dean opened his own transmission repair center because he said he was "tired of working for crooks." He has been in the transmission repair industry for over 30 years and is celebrating his 20th year operating his own facility in Spanish Fork. Deans commitment to continued education, and honest evaluation of the customers needs makes him one of Utah county's top transmission technicians. Dean is skilled in the repair and diagnosis of both standard and automatic transmissions as well as transfer cases. He is also ASE and ATRA certified. Dean enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandson Braxton. He is also an avid car collector and a member of the national SSR Fanatic group. Being a collector, he takes great pride in the care of his own cars and he is sure to make certain that he and his employees treat your vehicles with the same respect. Dean has been operation his Utah County Transmission repair shop since 1988.
Deena Lab - Spanish Fork Transmission Center Manager
Deena has been working with her husband Dean full time at Dean's Quality Transmissions in Spanish Fork, Utah since 1999. Dean decided that since she was doing such a great job taking care of someone elses customers, he may as well utilize her skills for his own customers. He knew that they shared the same values, so you would get the same honesty in dealing with her that you would if he were the one at your service. Bringing her on board in the Spanish Fork Transmission shop would also free him up to work on the vehicles and oversee the quality of the work being done by his employees. You can be assured that she will go the extra mile to get you the best available price on parts for your repair. She will also take the time to explain all of your available options for your transmission repair. Besides staying current with todays technology she is an ASE certified Service Consultant and also certified with ATRA as a Transmission Diagnostician. Deena helps in both the Spanish Fork Transmission Repair shop and the Pleasant Grove Transmission repair shop.
Dana Dawson - Spanish Fork Transmission Rebuilder, Diagnostics
Dana joined Dean's Quality Transmissions in Spanish Fork, Utah bringing with him over 32 years or transmission reuilding experience. With his many years of experience comes an extensive knowledge of how transmissions work, and a knowledge of the fixes that are available for each transmission problem that can be encountered. This awareness also allows him to fix many transmission problems in the vehicle without a complete overhaul to the transmission. In the event that a transmission does need a complete overhaul, Dana pays great attention to detail inspecting every internal part to make sure you do not have a problem down the road. Dana takes great pride in his work and takes the time to personally inspect each transmissions installation after the R&R Technician is finished with his part of the job as well as completing a final performance road test before the vehicle is released back to the customer to insure the transmission is working to his satifsfaction. You can be assured that Dana has the same ethics as Dean when it comes to an honest diagnosis of a problem. Tyler Dahl - Spanish Fork Transmission Rebuilder, Diagnostics
Tyler joined us at Dean's Quality Transmissions in Spanish Fork in early 2005. He graduated from Wyotech in diesel mechanics and has an extensive knowledge of diesels and how they work. Tyler started as a transmission R&R Technician with Dean's Quality Transmissions in Spanish Fork while fire fighting for the US Forest Service in the summers. Tyler has excelled with his transmission knowledge and willingness to stay current on todays advancing transmission technology. Tyler currently assists in transmission diagnostics and rebuilding transmissions as well as overseeing some installation procedures. Tyler also enjoys racing and working on his own collection of cars. We are proud to have someone with Tylers knowledge as part of our team in our Spanish Fork Transmission shop!
John Shepherd - Transmission R&R Technician, Diagnostics
John brings to Dean's Quality Transmissions in Spanish Fork over 10 years of automotive experience. He has extensive knowledge of vehicles and how they work. He has many years experience in general automotive and has excelled since his time here at Dean's Quality Transmissions. He takes the time to do an excellent job on every vehicle he works on. He cares that the job is completed on time and done correctly. John is aware of all vehicles that come through our doors going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that a customer is allerted if they have a problem with a vehicle that needs attention, even if it is not a repair that we take care of at our Spanish Fork facility. John is also in charge of rebuilding differentials. His diagnostic skills are excellent and he is a very valuable part of our team at Dean's Transmissions!
Ezequiel Dominguez - Transmission R&R Technician
Zeke is our Spanish speaking staff member at Dean's Transmissions in Spanish Fork and is always available to help our spanish speaking customers. He also takes care of Transmission R&R duties and the servicing of transmissions. He is a very hard worker and does whatever it takes to get the job done. We are happy to have Zeke as part of our team at our Spanish Fork transmission shop!
Braxton aka Woobie - Mascot, Future Transmission Technician
Our Grandson Braxton is our current shop Mascot, and the way it is looking, a future Technician. We think this is the case because his first sentence was "No, I drive that!" as we pulled him away from one of Grandpas show cars kicking and screaming. He loves to play with tools and loves to go for rides in Grandpa Dean's cars. He can often be found not too far behind Grandpa with a wrench in his hand! Braxton gets to help out in both Utah County Transmission repair facilities.
Dylan Dewey - Pleasant Grove Transmission Center Manager
Dylan Dewey is the manager of our new Pleasant Grove transmission repair shop location. He has been with Dean's Quality Transmissions for almost one year and has impressed Dean with his abilities. Dylan is very knowledgable about the way Dean insists on every customer being treated honestly and with respect. He shares alot of the same values that have helped Dean's Transmissions be so successful. He is very helpful to our customers striving to get the best price and quality on parts for the repairs they need. Randy Leland - Pleasant Grove Center ASE Master Technician
Randy returned to Dean's Quality Transmissions in Utah County to join our awesome staff at our new Pleasant Grove location. Randy has over 24 years experience. He worked for Dean when he started his Orem transmission reapir shop. Randy worked there for about 10 years . He pursued other interests for a while and after working for a few other repair facilities, he knew he wanted to come back and be part of our team again. He told us that he wanted to work with us because he knew he never had to worry about us selling customers repairs that they did not need. We share the same values and he wanted to work for an employer that he knew had integrity. We are thrilled to have Randy working with us again. Not only is he an experienced Transmission Rebuilder, but he is also an ASE Certified Master Technician. He will take care of any diagnostic needs you have and you can be assured that you will get an honest answer for a solution to your problem.
Adam Vandyke - Pleasant Grove R&R Transmission Technician
Adam is the R&R Technician at our Pleasant Grove Transmission repair location. He is a graduate of WYOTECH college, one of the leading automotive technology schools in the nation.
